Finding ‘true north’ with the Intuitive Vision board

Knowing her ‘true north’ the Golden Hind was the first English ship to circumnavigate the world and return home in one piece

It is natural to feel anxious, saddened and alarmed by what we see and hear going on in the world.  We would be disconnected from our hearts if we believed we could simply push it all to one side to then focus on more ‘positive’ things.

The greater challenge for a healthy, sensitive human being – and the invitation too – is not to assume the role of victim.  To not drown in sorrow, to not cave in under our groans and criticisms of ‘them over there’ or believe we are powerless to respond in any other way.

What if instead it could motivate us to behave differently?

The peaceful counter-protests in multiple UK cities last week against intolerance demonstrated there is another way.  To allow the awfulness to fiercely inspire us to commit to alternative behaviour.  To behave decently, considerately and respectfully at all times in our relating and relationships, in contrast to the gross behaviour we see broadcast.

When we negate or protest too loudly, or turn our back on ‘wild’ behaviour, we are inadvertently condoning and spot lighting what we don’t want to see.  An alternative is to take a leaf out of the martial artist’s book and counterbalance the energy we don’t like with its opposite, rather than opposing it.

I find that the Intuitive Vision Board (IVB) can be comforting and invaluable in holding me to a higher path.  Rather like the power animal that accompanies the shaman during their healing journeys, my IVB provides me with an internal reference point beyond fear and hate to love – and steers me in how I can bring that love to the world.

If you’re wondering precisely how to remain potent and effective when challenged by external happenings, I can’t tell you!  Only you can seek and find the answers for yourself.

When I need reassurance that I am doing the right thing, expending my energies in the best way, I look to my vision board and ponder its promptings.

When I need to find shelter from the storms raging outside, my vision board provides solace.

When I’m looking for inspiration as to how to approach the next stage of my life or how to address what’s in front of me, I find both insight in my vision board.

It’s presence reassures me that I am not alone.  Here I might encounter a superior, guiding force available to me, which has my highest interest at heart and wants the very best of me in service – not from my Ego but from the internal flame of Love.

The Intuitive Vision Board is my steady and constant reminder of this.  A distillation of everything I should know, do or be at any one time – all in one place.   And that’s why I believe my clients return to create a new Intuitive Vision Board again and again – as the standard bearer of their ‘true north’.
